Greg Foland
Owner and President of Foland Custom Homes
Greg Foland has been involved in the homebuilding business since he was 14 years old. Throughout high school and college, Greg worked summers, weekends, and school vacations for a local custom homebuilder in Connecticut. During this time, Greg’s experience grew from sweeping floors to framing, siding, roofing and trimming out luxury custom homes. This apprenticeship provided Greg with hands-on experience in all aspects of the homebuilding process.
Greg earned a BS in Business and Finance at the University of Rhode Island. After college, Greg was employed by an international telecommunications company where he managed multi-million dollar projects and a team of 100 people. It was during this time that Greg learned the fine art of managing projects, personnel and finances. These experiences would prove invaluable in the next phase of his career.
In 2004, Greg returned to homebuilding and founded Foland Contracting, Inc, and later Foland Custom Homes. As a licensed General Contractor, Greg has a very unique set of skills. He has the hands-on building experience that was acquired from years of working for a custom homebuilder, and he also has the business, project, personnel and customer management experience learned from years of working for a large corporation. With these skills, Greg has built quality custom homes that are on-time, within budget, and have very satisfied homeowners.
